To use the Govee Smart Meat Thermometer, follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the "Govee Home" app on your smartphone. It is available on the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play Store for Android devices.
  2. Open the app and create an account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Turn on the Govee Smart Meat Thermometer by pressing the power button located on the front.
  4. Open the battery compartment located on the back and insert 2 AAA batteries. Close the compartment securely.
  5. The thermometer will automatically enter pairing mode. In the app, tap the "+" button at the top right corner to add a device.
  6. Select "Temperature & Humidity" and then choose "Govee H5074" from the list of available devices.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the thermometer with your smartphone. Make sure the thermometer is within range of your phone and the Bluetooth is enabled.
  8. Once the pairing is successful, you can name the device, set up temperature preferences, and choose the type of meat you want to cook (if available on your model).
  9. Insert the probe into the meat, making sure it is inserted into the thickest part but avoiding bones and gristle.
  10. Close the grill or oven door with the probe cable either passing through the seal or door hinge.
  11. The app will display the current temperature of the meat and the desired temperature. You can also set an alarm to notify you when the meat has reached the desired temperature.
  12. Monitor the cooking process through the app. It will display real-time temperature updates and estimate the cooking time remaining.
  13. When the meat is cooked to the desired temperature, carefully remove the probe from the meat. Remember that the probe will be hot, so use heat-resistant gloves or tongs.
  14. Clean the probe with a damp cloth or sponge and dry it thoroughly before storing.

Note: Make sure to read the user manual that came with your specific model of the Govee Smart Meat Thermometer for any additional instructions or features.
