Underground bunkers sellable?

by Riley1980 , in category: Real Estate , 4 years ago

I have a listing coming up that may just be for an underground bunker. I was wondering if anyone has sold an underground bunker before? If so, any tips on how one would go about selling it? I figure I could make it sound like the perfect option for a doomsday bunker, but I don't know if it'd sell.

I know there are people who like the idea of a bunker, but I don't know if it's something that is sellable. What do you guys think?

Is it in an area that often gets damaging winds and tornadoes? That is a fantastic selling point. You can also advertise it to people as an optional man cave or closed off room for crafts, music, and so on. I think something like that is very sellable today.

Nothing I have ever heard of being a feature people want in their homes but given what state the world is in right now, I could bet you way more people are inclined to make use of it.

How much would one of these run you to install? I know some homes in my area have safe homes built underground that are accessed in the basement.

One of my properties has somewhat of an underground bunker. It is just a stone room with an air vent pipe. It was used for good storage but 4 people can comfortably fit down there with room to spare.

They can be in the right area depending on storms, income, and all that stuff. I don't know of a single home to have one in my area and I have seen several home listings.
